RSAWA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting was hald on Wednesday 19 May at the South of Perth Yacht Club. The Committee has one change with Rob Waller stepping down from the Vice-Presidents role being replaced by Bruce Robins.

The RSAWA join to thank Rob for his input and enthusiasm whilst he was in the position. We also thank Bruce Robins for stepping into the role.

The remainder of the positions on the committee have remained the same. We are fortunate to have a group of people who volunteer their time to manage the administration of the Association.

Denton Roberts remains in his position as President, although he has indicated that he may be absent for some time as he and Anne are becoming grey nomads.  Bruce steps into the Vice president role, whilst Peter Buchanan and Chris Woods continue as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Roger Paul manages the roles of Registrar/Measurer as well as that of Event's Co-ordinator.

All the members of the RSAWA join to thank these guys for putting their valuable time into keeping the Association running.

The other bit of (not so good) news was that the meeting voted to make a modest increase to the annual RSAWA subs. You may recall that during the 2020 Covid times, the fees were dropped down to $10 per person per annum - of which $5 goes to the ARYA.

With a return to more normal circumstances, as well as a big year on the sailing front, the meeting voted to increase the annual fee to $15 - an increase of $5. Your club will be getting in touch with it's members for the annual renewal of membership.

Overall, the radio sailing scene in WA continues as a vibrant and fun pasttime. Thank you again to all those who volunteer their time to make that happen.
